Today is a lovely Sunday. My badminton mood urged me to find a new club to practice. I found a club via Somoim (소모임) and quickly got acceptance to play as a guest. This club is located in Jangkunbong (장구봉) mountain and is 5-minute walking away from Sillim station Line 2.
The atmosphere of the club was friendly as I felt welcomed by all the members. I was the only one in A level and frankly, my level is much higher than everybody else's here. I barely broke a sweat during 2.5 hours playing here. I swear, I never intentionally try to make the less skilled players feel bad about their level. I always adjust my level to make it interesting for all. However, they were not salty about losing straight games and indeed, they invited me to play many more. I could tell that they appreciated my games and were eager to learn from a better player. I respect that attitude! I do the same when playing with players who are much better than me.
There is one thing I didn't like about my session today: the gym. It was too packed! Courts are too close to each other so, the shuttlecock from the nearby courts frequently distrupted the games. The distance from rear courts to rest benches is too narrow. Players passing by sometimes had to step onto the court to avoid people sitting in the benches, even while the game was still in play. That is very dangerous! Also, the ceiling is too short.
